I no longer run this group, however if you are interested in getting involved, just drop me a line. You can contact me through Pencilcase tutoring, where we provide tutoring for maths, sciences and English.
Study Hacks on Campus is a project coordinated by Cal Newport, an MIT post doc and study skills writer and experimenter. There are several universities involved in creating groups of students who trial and experiment with different study skills. The goal is to develop great lifestyles by using effective study hacks. The groups meet regularly throughout the semester and discuss the results of their experiments with different study skills. Each group has a blog that they post a summary of each meeting’s discussions and results on.
At the time of writing the other university blogs are:
- Saint Mary’s
- Claremont McKenna
- University of British Columbia
- Utah State
- University of Western Ontario
- Mills College
- Washington University in Saint Louis
- University of Calgary
- Johns Hopkins
- Coe College
The Victoria University group will meet once every one or two weeks. The New Zealand semester starts in March 2010. To join the group or make inquiries please email firstname.lastname@example.org
